I've officially survived a week in Australia!! We've toured Sydney, cruised around the harbour, gone sand boarding, hiking, dolphin cruising, seen koalas, kangaroos and had many a night out. I'm already in love with this gorgeous country and I haven't even been here a week!! I quickly met a group,of Brits all on my tour and we've created a firm friendship group. There's around 35 people on our tour so it's a huge group, I haven't managed to properly speak to everyone but I've given it a good shot! People are already talking about finding apartments together so that's exciting! Sydney is a great city with a relaxed vibe. I haven't yet headed on down to the Eastern Suburbs and the beaches but will be doing so tomorrow. Australia reminds me of America in many ways but has a strong tone of Britishness which makes me feel instantly at home. The food is very similar here for example but the roads and infrastructure are very American. Aussies are also so friendly as well, which makes the move so much easier. This past week has been great fun on tour and I'm excited for what's coming up in the next couple of weeks. Next week I've decided to book onto surf camp which is a five day intensive surf week where we'll have two lessons a day and live by the beach. I'm so excited to try a new sport and to live the beach life for a while!! After that it's back to the hostels to find work and accommodation for over the summer. This time last week I had so many little worries and now I'm wondering why I even worried!! Friends are so easy to make here and it seems work is easy to find! Now to continue a relaxing day whilst it's a little rainy and cold outside. Holly xx
